Blog #24

One day I not only lost one of my closest friends but 3 of them. It all started at one of my friends party. I was sitting there with 2 of my cousins and a really close friend. I was having so much fun that I didn't realize that one of my cousins and our friend were drinking. When we were going to go home (this was in Mexico this summer) they were starting to get mad. My other cousin and I did not know what was going on. They finally told us that they saw there girlfriends driving around with our other friends after the girls had told them that they weren't going to go out. They chased them down to the side of the road. Us four got off and me and my cousin tried to hold back our friends since the other friends were trying to explain what happened. They really weren't doing anything. The alcohol blinded my cousin and my friend. In about ten minutes 4 other friends showed up at the scene. The friends believed the side of my cousin and my friend and a fight broke out. Everyone was involved and since we had 6 people and they were 4 we out numbered them. I didn't fight with my 4 close friends that I knew for a long time but with some kid who started it with me. The police came and the rest was history. Later the next day I saw one of them I apologized and he knew I didnt do anything to try and start something. Me and him just forgot all about it. The other 3 accpeted the idea that I didn't want to fight but, although they were never the same to me. After that I just stopped talking to them, although sometimes we still hang out but nothing like it was before. I don't consider our breakup healthy since we never came up with a conclusion on what was going to happen. I think with the advice we learned in class I would of been more direct with them and just stopped talking to them.
