1. I think dating today is basically 2 people who have similar feelings for each other and share them and have a commitment with each other. I think you know when your dating when you feel something more then friendship and the other person does too and you share that feeling. A date is when two people do something together in order to have fun.
2.I think an advantage on dating in the olden days is that you didn't need money to have fun back then. One disadvantage is that you had less freedom to do what you want. I think a disadvantage today is that a lot of people do not take the relationship serious. I think an advantage is that we have more freedom and less restrictions.
3.
1.Sexual Attraction
2.friendship
3.Fun
4.companionship
5.ego boost
6.finding a spouse
7. overcoming loneliness
8. Social pressure
I chose them like this because the truth is that I want to be with someone attractive and that I can have fun with and someone who has potential to being a spouse later on.
4. The easiest guidelines to follow is treat each other equals. I think it is like this because no one s better then no one and everyone is equal. I think the hardest one to follow is save sex for marriage. The temptation is too big these days.

- Good listening skills are very important because its very important to understand the other person so you can have better communication with them.
- You can your doing a good job of listening when you don't ask the person to repeat him/herself and you nod your head to know that you understand along with using good body language.
- The 9 Listening guidelines are : quiet your own speech and be attentive, communicate an open attitude with your body language, stay in eye contact, avoid assuming anything about what the other person will say, give signals that you are listening, help by summarizing occasionally, ask clarifying questions, check your perceptions of the speaker's body language, and let the person know if you cannot listen at the time.
- I think the easiest guideline I am use on following is asking clarifying questions because I always like making sure they know I am listening and by asking questions you can get more and give them your opinion.
- The hardest one to use for me is letting the person know I can't listen to them at the time. I'm a very nice guy and if you have something you need to talk about I will listen no matter what even if I'm very busy.

- Body language is communication using signs and expressions with your body. People could lie with what they say but with their reaction and attitude you can tell the truth.
- Humans love physical touch since they were young and loved to crawl up to their parents. It is a sign of affection between people. As people get older it is also very hard to touch another person like your parents.
- My mom always yells like if she's mad. I know she is not mad or angry but she yells at us. I think she is used to doing this in order for us to do things so she just always yells when she wants us to do something but when we just talk we talk in a normal voice. My mom has been laughing a lot. She and I will laugh about a lot of things and joke around. She also gets real emotional over he soap opera lately. She has been talking to me about many serious things to and I see that she is very worried about what I will do. She is also very very very excited about my brother and him getting married. I think she wants grandkids cause she loves playing around with little babies.

- Carl Jung explains how to be whole by showing how stereotypes affect both genders. They take away are self motivation to pursue happiness. The books explains becoming whole through a poem by Nancy R. Smith called "For Every Women".
- One of the things Jesus did that was not stearotypically masculine was crying. He cried for the death of his friend Lazarus. Also showing leadership and strenght through love was another thing that he did.
- I think the drill instructer pushed it to far. Men are still highly demanded to show agressivness and strength but not that much.
- Sojourner Truth argued that she has done everything a man can do and that she has also been puniched for her actions as a man would but have not been rewarded because God was not a women therefor women can't have any power. She mentions how God came from a women and a man and that we should all be treated equal.
- "For every woman who was not taught the intricacies of an automobile, there is a man who was not taught the satisfacation of cooking" is the line that speaks to me the most since I have always enjoyed cooking and I been practicing it for a long time. It makes me think that stereotypes shouldn't stop you on pursuing something you love to do.

If I was the oppisite sex I guess my day would start up in the morning when I would wake up. I think that the room would smell a nice or something. I think they would shower and shave their legs and stuff. I think I would take like 2 hours decide what to wear. Once I found out what I wanted to wear I would look at the mirror for like an hour more. Once I was done I would complain how bad I look even though I look nice. After that i would eat some nasty breakfast like Special K cereal or something like that. I would go to work driving very slow and bad. I would arrive to work late. Talk my way out of it with the boss. Gossip for 2 hours with my co-workers. I would be complaining all day. I would have fits for small reasons and cry about it all day. When I would go home I will continue to complain. I would then watch Desperate Housewives, The OC and Laguna Beach. I would call all my friends and gossip about the friends I gossiped at work. I would then be playing hard to get with a guy I really like. I would then take his money and go shopping for hours and hours, until the credit card is rejected. I would then go home and go to sleep.

1. I didn't include all of them since I had more time to think about it and I used the new ones I found to better express myself.
2. I would, I mean I am not trying to hide anything from anyone and what is on it is basically what people think of me and what I think of myself.
3. a) I think that the Johari window was the easiest since Mr. Shumaker partnered us up with the people and all we had to do was exchange the screens. It was easy too since all the words were positive to describe the other person.
b)I think the hardest one was the "find someone who..." since it involved talking to almost everyone and asking them questions.
c)I think the Johari windo takes the most risk since you have the chance to tell someone what describes them and they can not agree.
d)All of them involved asking them positive questions or describing them in a positive way. They all recomonded interacting with everyone around you. They all taught you something new about the person.

Hey I thought you said you weren't going to talk to those girls anymore?
Well I thought you weren't going to talk to those guys anymore. If you could do whatever you want then I don't see why I can't do whatever I want.
Your such a hypocrit. I can't believe I would believe all your lies. I never want to see you again!
("I")
Hey I was really hurt cause you talked to those girls again.
I'm sorry its cause we have to do this project for history class and the teacher partnered us up, I'm sorry if you got hurt I should of told you before. That would of been nice and I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions, I know that your a really good person.

One day I not only lost one of my closest friends but 3 of them. It all started at one of my friends party. I was sitting there with 2 of my cousins and a really close friend. I was having so much fun that I didn't realize that one of my cousins and our friend were drinking. When we were going to go home (this was in Mexico this summer) they were starting to get mad. My other cousin and I did not know what was going on. They finally told us that they saw there girlfriends driving around with our other friends after the girls had told them that they weren't going to go out. They chased them down to the side of the road. Us four got off and me and my cousin tried to hold back our friends since the other friends were trying to explain what happened. They really weren't doing anything. The alcohol blinded my cousin and my friend. In about ten minutes 4 other friends showed up at the scene. The friends believed the side of my cousin and my friend and a fight broke out. Everyone was involved and since we had 6 people and they were 4 we out numbered them. I didn't fight with my 4 close friends that I knew for a long time but with some kid who started it with me. The police came and the rest was history. Later the next day I saw one of them I apologized and he knew I didnt do anything to try and start something. Me and him just forgot all about it. The other 3 accpeted the idea that I didn't want to fight but, although they were never the same to me. After that I just stopped talking to them, although sometimes we still hang out but nothing like it was before. I don't consider our breakup healthy since we never came up with a conclusion on what was going to happen. I think with the advice we learned in class I would of been more direct with them and just stopped talking to them.

5) My close friends have brought out the best in me when they were all doing good in school and I was struggling.
6) There was a time when I did not care about a lot of things and thought everything will happen on its own but my friend helped me through those situations by talking to me and giving me advice.
7) Is my relationship with Edwin mutual and equal? I think are friendship is one of the best ones since we are so in common and we can depend on each other to be honest and helping.
8)Three things friends might find difficult to accept is that, I am very picky about people, I am very hard to give advice, and I am very competitive. Three things I have a hard time to accept are, when people are conceeded, liers, and cheats.
9)Hey guys I wanted to say thanks again for everything we have done for each other I really value or friendship and I know that when we all stick together we can all accomplish many things.

Sexuality I think is a time in life where you feel the need to interact with the opposite sex. I think humans are sexual in order for us to reproduce and to keep the population going. I think a right time to be sexual is when you have met your mate and you are ready to have children. I think the obvious dangers of STDs should be dealt with. My uncle once told me "take it slow, and be safe".

Last year I lost my laptop charger. I have no idea were I had left it. I had to buy a new one at the end. I was so mad cause I was looking forward to getting a new video game which that pushed it back a while. I knew it was something real stupid. A few weeks later I found a laptop charger in the lunchroom plugged in. It had a name on it too. I just gave it to the teacher which she gave to the dean. I felt good since I knew how bad I felt and I knew that person wouldn't feel as bad as I did.

Jesus helps us through suffering by providing people and things that help us. Jesus brings us friends and family that help us through these hard times. When your friends and family are there for you they are living jesus' message about life and love. At times when someone is suffering it is very easy to pint out all the negative things going on then to point out everything else jesus is doing for them.
(letter to friend)
I know that this is a very hard time for you. I know that you maybe asking yourself about your faith. Suffering happens when you are alone and I know that you are not, there are many people that will be there for you. One of those person's name is God. God is always there for you when you need him the most.

I think that Jesus came to Earth to save the people. He suffered greatly and which resulted in him understanding the pain humans go through. Jesus showed us that suffering is only brought by humans and their awful ideas.

1. Two types of suffering are necessary suffering and accidental. Necessary suffering could be when you grow up and move on while accidental suffering is when you loose a personal item.
2. Two ways people explain suffering are by saying "god wants to teach me a lesson" or by saying "I deserve this". I think that these ideas make god seem to be not good which all are beliefs are on a good God.
3. I think it is all a mystery I believe God wants it to be a mystery for us, since if we knew the secret then there would not be any suffering.

I think that suffering and happiness balance each other out. I think that without one you can't have the other like how would you know how great summer is if you only had winter or if you only had summer would you really know how great it is since you have never suffered through a winter. I think that God put everyone and everything on this planet with a purpose and a gift to bring to others. Like in the movie when the nice lady got killed, she did do her purpose in life and has now been sent to heaven.

Humans are made in the image of God since humans were given the gift of knowledge and pleasure. Humans could learn and wonder, something no other creature can't.
My top 3 gifts from god are:
1. My friends and family since everything we do revolves around them.
2. My senses cause it allows us to smell, taste, see etc everything god put on this earth for us.
3. And every day I live is a gift from God since you get to see or do #1 and #2 on my list.

I believe God is like an overflowing fountain and a providing sun in many ways. God provides beauty and clarity like the fountain. God is like the sun since it sees everything and without it we would not be here. To me God is like air. It is all around you, and you can't see it. You need it to be fully alive. You also take it in but something else comes out.

1. Personal power is growing in a sense of identity and in autonomy. Nurturing power is power used to foster another person's well-being. Shared power is when our personal power is used to completeness or increase other people's powers.

1. Autonomy is when someone controls himself and makes his own rules. Independence is when you only depend on yourself while dependence is when you only depend on others while interdependence is when you depend on both.
2.I do I think that Interdependence allows you to see things through a different point of view. Five goals that I picked are, I want to get good grades, I want to score a lot of goals, I want to make a lot of money, and I want to become a better person. I think by paying more attention, studying and doing homework, working hard, and listening to others could help me conquer these goals.

1. According to the book a transition is a crossing or a passage that one might take as a negative experience. The transition that I had to deal with the most was getting a job and leaving all my free time. The opportunities that having a job was that I would be able to be more responsible and learn how hard it is to make money. The bad part of having a job is that you never have time for yourself or your friends. I think that the experience on having a job made me more mature and a stronger person then before.

At my funeral I wouldn't want any of my friends to be crying. I would want them to recognize the good times we had. I would want them to have fun at my funeral. I would also want them to say how they will never forget about me and how much I helped them in life.
